eSafety Forum Working Group on RTD started developing the Strategic Research Agenda for ICT for Mobility in 2006. Every two years the group meets and updates the Agenda based on the outcome of submitted and accepted proposals. The latest Strategic Agenda dates April 2008, the conclusions of which were that the RTS should "be substantially more long-term (with impacts in the 2020 timeframe) and more challenging, requiring new innovations and new partnerships".
