
For the 17th time the ITS World Congress was held on October 25-29 in Busan, South Korea. The congress was centred on the theme “Ubiquitous Society with ITS”, with more than 30,000 participants. Besides researchers of renowned universities and representatives of leading international enterprises in the field communication and transport systems, 17 Minsters of the transport and technology resorts of counties all over the world participated in it. The congress was appropriately dubbed as “The Olympics of ITS”.
The EURIDICE project was represented at this important conference with a paper entitled “Cargo Centric Approach for Supply Chain Design – Reference Architecture”. The paper has attracted wide interest among the listeners. The contribution was awarded with the “Outstanding Paper Award”, an award for rewarding exceptional scientific and technical works. Out of over 600 accepted articles, only 38 papers were honoured with this price.
