Intelligent Cargo Forum is a community that was initially connected with the EURIDICE project, and now supported by a number of other projects and organizations. The goal is to improve the logistics industry competitiveness and sustainability by means of innovative technologies focusing on the cargo and its interaction with vehicles, users and the environment.

The purpose of the Intelligent Cargo Forum is to bring together key stakeholders with the goal of establishing the core group of a pan-European Intelligent Cargo movement. Intelligent Cargo Forum members will represent relevant organizations interested in Intelligent Cargo: logistic companies, users (industry, distribution), authorities, infrastructures, ICT companies, academia and other research institutions.

The Intelligent Cargo Forum has the following objectives:

  • Present and publicize relevant results from research projects and industry, allowing to promote and demonstrate the Intelligent Cargo concept to a wide audience.
  • Discuss common interest issues related to ICT and Logistics like architectural models, standardization, business models, implementation approaches and testing.
  • Start and maintain the interaction between the players from industry and research interested in development, adoption and use of Intelligent Cargo and related concepts.
  • Lead this interest group to promote and further develop the Intelligent Cargo concept with the goal of ensuring its adoption by EU freight transportation and logistics industry.
